- Students work in groups to complete the Great Fossil Find

6th Grade Earth Science
Objective: By the end of class, I will be able to accurately describe a solar and lunar eclipse.
Warm up question (note - always answer in a complete sentence OR write the question and answer):
Draw the arrangement of the sun, moon, and earth during a lunar eclipse.
Plan:
- Students arrange images of the sun, moon, and Earth during the different stages of the moon and during solar and lunar eclipses based on questions from the teacher
- Students work in groups to make a poster of each of the stages of the moon and of the two types of eclipses
- Students complete the summarizer (see unit resources)
Due in class: Posters
Homework: Summarizer (if not completed in class)
Absent: Read through the Plan and complete what you can, as well as the Homework
