Draw a cladogram for the following characters: Santa, Easter bunny, leprechaun, cupid, and a unicorn
Plan:
- Review warm up
- Teacher leads direct teaching from the PowerPoint (about slide 16-26)
- As a class, complete the Pesticide Activity (see unit resources)
- Students work individually on the Changes in Species over Time writing activity
Due in class: Changes in Species over Time activity (homework if not completed in class)
Homework: Changes in Species over Time activity (if not completed in class)
Absent: Read through the Plan and complete what you can, as well as the Homework

Objective: By the end of class, I will be able to accurately describe the orientation of the sun, moon, and Earth during a lunar and solar eclipse.

- Pass out the notes for eclipses
- Students complete notes from the PowerPoint on solar eclipses
- Students go to Socrative to complete a quiz - ask me for the room info!
- Watch the solar eclipse video (see unit resources)
- Students complete the Blackout activity
