Objective: By the end of class, I will be able to explain how natural selection works over generations.
Warm up question (note - always answer in a complete sentence OR write the question and answer):
Get ready for the quiz!
Plan:
- Students take a quiz.
- Review the quiz answers.
- Teacher leads direct teaching on natural selection (~ slides 8-15ish)
- Students complete the natural selection practice (see unit resources)
Due in class: Quiz
Homework: Natural selection practice (if not completed in class)
Absent: Read through the Plan and complete what you can, as well as the Homework

6th Grade Earth Science
Objective: By the end of class, I will be able to describe the phases of the moon.
Warm up question (note - always answer in a complete sentence OR write the question and answer):
Write one quiz question based on what you've learned about the phases of the moon or about the theories on how the moon was formed (include 5 answer choices).
Plan:
- Teacher leads direct teaching on the phases of the moon (up until the slides about eclipses).
- Teacher demonstrations the phases of the moon (see unit resources)
- Students complete the phases of the moon wheel and the phases of the moon review/worksheet
Due in class: Warm up
Homework: Wheel and/or worksheet (if not completed in class)
Absent: Read through the Plan and complete what you can, as well as the Homework
