7th Grade Life Science
Objective: By the end of class, I will practice what I have learned about genetics, heredity, and reproduction.
Warm up question (note - always answer in a complete sentence OR write the question and answer):
Get a computer and review page and play the vocabulary games; top scorer gets a jolly rancher.
Plan:
- Students play the vocab games - high scorers must show me their screen!
* The vocab games are for questions #19-30 on the review page! Make sure to take notes!
- Students play Kahoot and complete their review page (except questions #19-30, see above)
Due in class: Proof of practice portfolio!
Homework: Study for tomorrow's test! Find the review page here.
Absent: Read through the Plan and complete what you can, as well as the Homework

6th Grade Earth Science
Objective: By the end of class, I will be able to explain how clouds and precipitation affect weather.
Warm up question (note - always answer in a complete sentence OR write the question and answer):
Can clouds affect weather, even if it's not raining? Vote yes or no! State why.
Plan:
- Direct teaching on powerpoint (slide 39 to end)
- Students complete the 5-3-1 summarizer at the end
- Once students complete the summarizer, they may get a computer and play the Study Jams quiz (link in the topic link above)
- After the quiz, students may play any number of games from the Climate Kids NASA site (link in the topic link above)
Due in class: Summarizer - is your "exit ticket" for the computer
Homework: Nothing
Absent: Read through the Plan and complete what you can, as well as the Homework
