7th Grade Life Science
Objective: By the end of the class, I will be able to define at least four of this unit's vocabulary terms.
Warm up question (note - always write in a complete sentence OR write the question and answer):
Describe everything you know about genetics.
Plan:
- Pass back test and allow students time to review their answers. - Students get out a piece of paper and create three columns: term, my definition, group definition - Write each vocabulary term on the board (up to 9 terms at a time) - Students individually write the word and their own definition on their page - One student writes their definition on the board; class discusses until there's an agreement - Pass out vocabulary page; students compare/contrast their answers to the page
Due in class: nothing
Homework: none
Absent: Print and study the vocab page.
