7th Grade Life Science
"Students will describe the structure and function of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems."
We reviewed fermentation with a Sci Guys video. Then we discussed how that relates to aerobic vs anaerobic respiration. You should know that anaerobic respiration in humans creates lactic acid. You can see the comparison in these notes. Finally, we touched on homeostasis and how the body responses to external stimuli. Homework: None. Were you absent? Study the notes.
A LOT of students didn't do the assignment from last Thursday, 12/1! Make sure you go back and complete it ASAP.
6th Grade Earth Science
"Students will investigate the scientific view of how the earth's surface is formed."
We continued learning about plate tectonics, specifically the slides about volcanoes. Then we continued with our projects. They will be DUE THURSDAY 12/8. Homework: Complete the PROJECT FORM - DUE MONDAY, 12/12. You may need to look in Chapter 8 of the textbook to answer some of the multiple choice questions. Were you absent? Complete the form!
